If you have issues while performing activities of daily
living, then you might qualify to receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI),
Social Security Disability (SSD), or both. The financial help you and your
family receive can give you much-needed relief, despite an inability to work. Many
of my clients live much better today than they did before they sought my help.
Activities of Daily Living: Actions taken in an individual's residence and outdoor environments that are necessary for proper self care, such as eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking, and controlling bodily discharge.
If you have difficulty with any of these actions, there is a good chance you qualify for supplemental income from the Social Security Administration (SSA).
I know the courts, the law, and am very persuasive. But to
be honest, the thing that I have that you will not find anywhere else is this: I truly care for my clients. I believe
my clients and their families need my help, and I fight to get them what they
need until I win it for them. The results speak for themselves.
In my experience, the biggest problem in this area of the law is lack of communication. Most people who qualify either don’t know that they qualify, or they don’t know how to receive help, so I have written out some of the most important information you need when confronting life with a serious ailment. You can always call my office with any questions.
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social
Security Disability Income (SSDI, or SSD) are awarded to individuals who suffer
from a disability, such as a herniated disk, severe depression, or chronic
bronchitis. Typically, an individual or family is awarded one, but not both.
You qualify for SSD if you worked before suffering from a disabling condition.

You are eligible for SSI if you have a disabling condition even if you never worked and have been on welfare. Children between 6-18 with ADHD, anxiety and other disabilities are eligible.
